Battalion Exercise of the Command Track in the Chashmonaim Brigade

From Sifra and Saifa to the Next Level of Readiness
The Chashmonaim Brigade continues to prove that operational achievements and professional quality are built through hard training in the field. After a series of intense operations in the western sector of southern Lebanon under Brigade 300, and in the midst of operational deployment in two sectors at once (Lebanon and Judea and Samaria), the brigade’s combat soldiers and commanders gathered for a wide-scale battalion exercise.
The current exercise was designed to turn the operational experience gained since the start of Operation Roaring Lion into advanced tactical skill. The combat soldiers practiced extreme scenarios, complex attacks and close cooperation among the various forces.
What was practiced in the battalion exercise?
Complex combat scenarios: the combat soldiers practiced raids, searches and maneuver in terrain simulating the security zone in southern Lebanon, the sector in which the brigade’s forces have already destroyed terror infrastructure, located weapons depots and captured a senior terrorist from the Radwan Force.
Command and control: the commanders, among them the cadets on their way to completing the brigade’s first officers’ course, practiced decision-making under fire, managing forces in parallel and dealing with anti-tank threats and loaded launchers.
Preserving a way of life on the move: even at the peak intensity of the field exercise, it was proven again that combat and faith go together. The brigade’s combat soldiers were careful to keep fixed study sessions, prayers with a minyan and fully separated field posts.
Facing Forward
The current battalion exercise marks the full readiness of the Chashmonaim Brigade for the next challenges. With its completion, the forces are prepared and alert to continue their operational missions, bringing to the field a unique combination of uncompromising military professionalism, firm fighting spirit and a deep commitment to defending the northern communities and the entire State of Israel.
