Straight to Command: Chashmonaim Cadets Conclude the “Northern Arrow” Exercise

Another significant step toward building the brigade’s next generation of commanders: the cadets of the first officer-training class of the Chashmonaim Brigade completed the “Northern Arrow” exercise last week, one of the most demanding and complex milestones of their professional military training. The exercise was designed to closely assess the cadets’ performance, leadership abilities, decision-making under fire, and resilience in situations of pressure and prolonged operational strain.

At the Ultimate Operational and Physical Test

Throughout the exercise, the cadets demonstrated unwavering dedication to the mission, strong camaraderie, and the highest standards of professionalism. The forces marched many kilometers across challenging terrain while carrying heavy loads, successfully confronting difficult weather conditions and constantly changing combat scenarios.

The defining moment of the exercise came at first light, when the cadets resolutely ascended Mount Golani with determination and steadfast spirit. The steep climb against the sunrise symbolized not only the conclusion of a grueling physical effort, but also the spiritual elevation and readiness of the future commanders to shoulder the responsibility of leadership.

Maintaining their Torah study routine at the height of the challenge

Even in the midst of intensive training and extreme physical exertion, the brigade’s cadets demonstrated that faith and halachic observance are an inseparable part of their operational identity. The cadets maintained daily prayers with a minyan, set aside time for Torah study, and strengthened their spiritual commitment in the field, leading by personal example.

Eyes Set on the Officer Qualification Ceremony

The successful completion of the “Northern Arrow” exercise places the cadets in the final stretch of their training. In approximately one month, the cadets are expected to complete the course, receive their command pins and earn their officer ranks, taking the next step toward leading the brigade’s fighters in operational missions at the front.

The Chashmonaim Brigade congratulates its outstanding cadets on their excellence, resilience, and courage. Rise and succeed!
