Chashmonaim Brigade Takes Up the Northern Sector: Regular and Reserve Battalions to Operate Simultaneously During the High Holidays

A significant step in the brigade’s operational expansion: for the first time since its establishment, both of its battalions, the reserve Shimon Battalion and the regular Yonatan Battalion, will operate simultaneously in intensive operational activity in the northern sector throughout the High Holiday period.
Regular and Reserve Forces Side by Side at the Front
The brigade’s first reserve battalion, the Shimon Battalion (1200), is entering operational activity for the first time in a full battalion formation and will take up an operational sector in the area. At the same time, the Yonatan Battalion, the brigade’s regular battalion, is also deploying north, returning to operational activity and defensive operations in the area following a period of training and refreshment. The combined presence of the two battalions strengthens the brigade’s operational foothold and provides a sharp, professional and effective response to the challenges of the sector.

Fully Prepared Following a Series of Battalion Exercises
The deployment to the operational sector comes after weeks of intensive preparation and demanding training. In recent weeks, the brigade’s troops and commanders have taken part in activation exercises, company-level drills and comprehensive battalion exercises in northern Israel, designed to sharpen tactical skills, practice a range of extreme scenarios and assess operational readiness ahead of the challenges of the High Holiday period.
Even throughout the demanding training period, the troops maintained a strong balance between military excellence and their religious routine, including regular Torah study, communal prayers and a strong religious atmosphere in the field.
The Chashmonaim Brigade wishes the commanders and soldiers of the Shimon and Yonatan Battalions great success in carrying out their missions at the front. Shanah Tovah, K’tivah V’Chatimah Tovah!
