Saving Lives: About 40 Combat Medics Successfully Complete Their Training at the Chashmonaim Training Base

Another step in strengthening the brigade’s operational and medical support: this week, about 40 Charedi combat soldiers and other soldiers from across the IDF’s operational units completed the practical and intensive medics’ course at the Chashmonaim Training Base. This cohort included the brigade’s combat soldiers alongside soldiers from other Charedi tracks, all trained under one roof to provide lifesaving medical care in the field and in routine times.

Professional Excellence in Military Medicine

The demanding training, spread over eight concentrated weeks, focused on the most up-to-date military medical doctrine. Throughout the course, the trainees practiced handling routine and emergency situations, giving first aid under fire, treating mass-casualty incidents and applying lifesaving techniques on the battlefield. The new medics showed a high professional standard, alertness and composure, and left the course skilled and prepared for any operational scenario.

Saving Lives

An Uncompromising Torah Environment

All of the training took place at the training base of the Chashmonaim Brigade, in full accord with the Charedi way of life. The soldiers maintained fixed study sessions, prayers with a minyan and a guarded atmosphere, and proved once again that it is possible to reach the very top of the medical and combat professions with devout adherence to halacha. In keeping with brigade tradition, the event concluded with a moving siyum, the completion of a Talmud tractate, held by the soldiers, along with a discussion of values: the sense of mission, the value of saving life and commitment to the People of Israel.

Saving Lives

Ready for Every Call

With the course complete, the new medics are joining the operational force of the brigade and the various tracks, carrying a deep sense of mission and a double responsibility: safeguarding the security of the People of Israel and saving human lives in practice.

The Chashmonaim Brigade wishes the new medics great success. “Whoever saves a single life, it is as though he has saved an entire world!”
